Fifth Doctor Amigurumi Doll

So...bit of a story with this one (as you can possibly guess by the picture). My friend informed me a few weeks back that he would be attending a convention where Peter Davison, actor who played the 5th Doctor, would be attending. Now, I've never mentioned this before, but I've always liked the idea of giving the actors my dolls as a sort of thank you for all they've done. Seeing the chance for this to be realized in some form, I asked my friend if he wouldn't mind giving the doll to the him while he was there, and to get a picture of him with it for me since I couldn't be there. He forgot to get a picture of the event it's self and instead had to track the poor man down late so he could get this picture for me. Thankfully he seemed to be a good sport about it.

Well, now with that bit of personal story out of the way, on with the technical! Really, the trickiest part of this doll was finding all the variations of off white I needed. It was quite a pain, and resulted in the felt color for his hat matching his vest and not his jacket as it should. Hence, a crochet hat for this guy. Vest trim was adapted slightly from what I've done in the past, and the little celery was difficult going into, and ended up being quite fun and simple to sculpt. It's also a bit hard to see, but he does have little dyed question marks on his shirt collar as well.

Materials: Yarn, thread, poly-fil, poly beads, buttons, sculpy, paint
